Program Manager - Hypersonic Vehicle (Aerospace): Integrating launch platform service-center projects and delivering certified and experimental aircraft ready for hypersonic flight testing with an accent on cost, schedule, technical integration, and operational reliability. Focus on increasing flight-test cadence, managing aircraft modifications and maintenance, mitigating flight-test risks, and meeting US Government contracting requirements.

Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite at least 80% of normal work days

Salary: $122,000–$144,300 for Staff level; $149,500–$177,000 for Principal level; $174,500–$214,000 for Senior Principal level.

What you will do

  • Lead the execution and integration of launch platform service-center projects, delivering schedule, budget, and technical objectives.
  • Manage schedules, resource plans, staffing, budgets, forecasts, costs, and program metrics.
  • Integrate one-off aircraft modifications, maintenance projects, and new technologies onto certified and experimental heavy aircraft.
  • Manage flight-test risks and drive issues to closure while increasing launch platform flight cadence, reliability, and affordability.
  • Lead program reviews and represent the program in internal and customer-facing meetings.
  • Support US Government and industry proposals, financial tracking, and launch platform operations, including travel and off-nominal flight-test hours.

Requirements

  • Experience with certified and experimental heavy aircraft.
  • Experience in flight or launch vehicle testing, aircraft maintenance, heavy aircraft integration and testing, flight-test scheduling, or cost tracking.
  • Experience leading engineers, technicians, testers, and customers to deliver flight-ready aircraft.
  • Experience developing schedules, managing teams, analyzing financial variances, and developing forecasts.
  • Strong risk management, analytical problem-solving, data analysis, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance; US citizenship may be required for positions involving government clearance.
