Health and Safety Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Brockville, Ontario, Canada; on-site five days per week. Approximately 2.5% travel may be required, including overnight stays. Relocation may be authorized.

Compensation: CAD 80,000–110,000 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Improve worker safety across four manufacturing facilities as part of the site EHS team.
• Guide site leadership in reducing employee hazard exposure and operational risks.
• Develop and guide health and safety programs covering industrial hygiene, PPE, noise, chemicals, radiation safety, ventilation, and designated substances.
• Support risk and exposure assessments, incident investigations, regulatory monitoring, and annual EHS planning.
• Coordinate improvement efforts that strengthen the site’s EHS culture and performance.
• Build technical expertise through conferences, professional associations, benchmarking, and collaboration with technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, completed and verified before starting; or an associate’s degree in health and safety plus one year of health and safety experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is mandatory.
• Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada or a permanent resident normally residing in Canada.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employment visa sponsorship.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, technical program leadership, communication, computer skills, independent work, and teamwork.

Nice to have

• Health and safety experience in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing setting.
• CRSP or Certified Industrial Hygienist designation.
• Experience with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
• Expertise in heat stress monitoring, noise and air sampling, ventilation testing, chemical exposure assessment, toxicology, and pre-start health and safety review reports.
