Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; primarily supporting the Stoney Creek location and providing remote support to sites in Alberta and Quebec.

What you will do

  • Coordinate with site leadership, the HSE Manager, HSE leads, and other departments to maintain legal and company-standard compliance.
  • Manage legal registers, compliance calendars, permits, licenses, and regulatory reporting for assigned sites.
  • Review and update HSE documentation, risk registers, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the Joint Health and Safety Committee by coordinating meetings, documenting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Support incident investigations, internal audits, inspections, HSE data collection, and corrective actions.
  • Identify workplace hazards and support the implementation of HSE programs and safety improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with relevant experience; a degree is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of HSE experience and strong knowledge of HSE regulations and requirements.
  • Fluent English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, process improvement, conflict resolution, and change management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work across offices, manufacturing plants, warehouses, repair facilities, and customer sites, including meeting physical mobility requirements.
