Maintenance Leader

Location: Canada Glad Plant, Orangeville; onsite

Salary: CAD 83,278–128,248 annually

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team of 12–15 licensed millwrights and electricians, along with the Maintenance Scheduler/Planner and MRO Buyer.
• Support manufacturing operations through equipment troubleshooting, maintenance execution, and plant and property reliability improvements.
• Develop maintenance systems and processes, track critical KPIs, manage budgets, and oversee contractors and third-party vendors.
• Lead small- to medium-scale capital projects in alignment with the capital plan and Engineering Manager’s direction.
• Champion preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and critical spare parts management.
• Oversee building maintenance activities and coordinate cross-functional resources.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and 5+ years supervising skilled trades.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, rotating equipment, controls, safety circuits, sensors, and vision systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, PLC, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and maintenance team training skills.
• Ability to develop, read, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, licensed skilled trade qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Planning, communication, analytical, decision-making, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills; maintenance management software experience, preferably SAP.
