Weekend News Anchor/Multimedia Journalist

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States; onsite. Weekend work is required.

What you will do

• Present news stories and other content across broadcast, digital, website, and social media platforms.
• Write, research, copy edit, and deliver clear and concise news stories.
• Assist with producing newscasts and provide direction to newsroom team members.
• Act as a Multimedia Journalist by shooting, writing, and editing assigned content.
• Conduct live and recorded interviews and respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
• Interact with viewers and users through social media platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least one year of news reporting or anchoring experience.
• Strong newsgathering skills, news judgment, camera presence, and knowledge of local and national current events.
• Experience shooting, writing, and editing original content, with digital platform and live field reporting skills.
• Ability to meet daily and long-term deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; successful completion of background screening is required.
