Location: McCamey, Texas; residence in San Angelo required during training, followed by residence in Ft. Stockton

Salary: $47.59–$61.87 per hour

What you will do

• Supervise station electrician and station servicer crews performing construction, maintenance, operations, and equipment restoration.
• Plan and schedule daily work while coordinating activities with other crews at shared job sites.
• Respond to station trouble calls, emergencies, outages, and distribution restoration work as directed.
• Ensure safe use of tools and equipment and support the training and welfare of assigned personnel.
• Procure required materials, tools, and equipment and maintain work records and reports.
• Perform station electrician or station servicer duties and assist with buildings, transportation equipment, and remote-stores inventory when required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance technology, equivalent qualifying education and experience, or recent station electrician experience with a utility or contractor.
• At least 4 years of station experience required for consideration; typically 6 years required.
• Thorough knowledge of operating, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Ability to interpret prints and manufacturers’ drawings and understand transmission-station equipment and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise employees, communicate instructions, and work courteously with employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and the public.
• Valid state driver’s license and compliance with applicable federal and state vehicle-operation requirements are required.
