Senior Supervisor, Substation Operations (Electrical)

Location: Waterbury, CT, United States. On-site role requiring travel between MA, CT, and NH and availability for emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location. Eversource will not provide immigration-related visa sponsorship.

Annual salary: $139,690–$155,210, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Supervise crews performing construction and maintenance activities for transmission and distribution substations.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, equipment, maintenance, and construction schedules with internal departments and contractors.
• Maintain the reliability and condition of substation assets and analyze maintenance, inspection, testing, and operational data.
• Lead safety awareness, compliance initiatives, work practices, and safety performance across the group.
• Coach supervisors and employees, set expectations, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues.
• Reallocate resources, lead work-center activities during manager absences, represent management in department, customer, and community meetings, and drive business-process change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Eight to ten years of related experience for the Senior Supervisor level.
• Previous supervisory experience and the ability to coach supervisors, develop employees, and lead work-center activities.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices, procedures, safety requirements, and power-system maintenance and operations.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required; valid CDL preferred.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.
