Employee Benefits Analyst III (Insurance)

What you will do

• Analyze financial and claims data for fully insured and self-funded clients with typically 100–1,000 covered lives.
• Prepare market reviews, renewal rate projections, funding models, claims experience reports, benchmarking, IBNR and lag analyses.
• Develop alternative plan strategies, cost-reduction opportunities, and financial recommendations.
• Review insurance contracts and carrier renewal rating illustrations for accuracy.
• Request quotes, evaluate coverage options, negotiate rates and benefit features, and prepare renewal and new-business materials.
• Write client-facing executive summaries and correspondence, participate in peer reviews, and support analyst onboarding.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and perform complex analytical work with minimal instruction.
