Salary: $48,000–$51,000 per year

What you will do

• Forecast and present weather reports across broadcast, web, and social media platforms.
• Write and deliver clear, concise weather stories and publish daily local forecast articles.
• Respond to breaking and severe weather events and support urgent newsroom coverage.
• Coordinate weather programming, including research, copy editing, and content development.
• Collaborate with the weather team and coach, mentor, and motivate colleagues.
• Participate in promotional activities, public appearances, and other assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least five years of weather reporting or anchoring experience, depending on market size.
• Fluency in English, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to ad lib when required.
• Strong meteorology knowledge, a proven forecasting record, and superior on-air presence.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
