Construction Manager, Expert - OGO/San Ramon/Dublin (Electric Construction)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakland, Dublin, or San Ramon, California, with onsite meetings that may also be held in Stockton, Sacramento, and Rocklin.

Salary: $129,000–$207,000 per year in the Bay Area.

What you will do

• Execute the Pole Reinforcement Program and System Inspections construction projects.
• Coordinate construction crews, contractors, project inspectors, Project Managers, supervisors, Engineering, Contracts, and other internal teams.
• Prepare job packages, construction estimates, scopes of work, constructability reports, schedules, and contract documentation.
• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality, cost, schedule, permits, and technical standards.
• Act as a field Incident Commander and PG&E representative while enforcing site-specific safety plans, environmental permits, and company procedures.
• Validate completed work, manage billing and accruals, resolve design and engineering issues, and support program improvements, training, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Construction; 9 years is preferred.
• Approximately 25% travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Experience with contract administration, construction inspection, cost accounting, project scheduling, and quality control.
• Knowledge of utility poles and electric or transmission construction.
• Ability to interpret and communicate electrical work procedures, standards, policies, and guidelines, and lead teams during deadlines or emergency situations.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Visio, and Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of emergency management processes and experience leading training or coaching less experienced employees.
• Strong people management and long-term planning skills.
