Expert Construction Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Rocklin, California or within the North Valley division, with travel and field work required up to 50% of working time

Salary: $123,000–$197,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage construction and improvement projects for the underground electric system across civil, electrical, instrumentation, and pipeline disciplines.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction crews, contractors, inspectors, engineering teams, and governing agencies to deliver projects safely and on schedule.
• Develop soil management plans, coordinate clean-soil giveaways, and manage underground dry-spoils and drilling-fluid recycling yards.
• Prepare job packages, construction estimates, project schedules, contract scopes, and supporting documentation for RFP and contract processes.
• Monitor daily construction activities, change orders, costs, quality, safety, permits, environmental requirements, and schedule performance.
• Support underground utility pilots, field execution, data collection, mentoring, and training for construction employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in industrial engineering or construction.
• Ability to travel and work in the North Valley division for up to 50% of working time.
• Experience coordinating contractors, construction inspections, safety plans, environmental permits, and project documentation.
• Ability to manage project cost, quality, schedule, contract scope, and construction compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in quality control, contract administration, or gas transmission.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar project planning tools.
• Nine years of experience in engineering, industrial engineering, construction, or a related field.
