Construction Manager (Power Distribution)

Location: New Orleans, LA; Willis, TX; or Amarillo, TX. The position requires daily full-time onsite work and is in office at least four days per week.

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 annually. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day power distribution construction, including subcontractors, field crews, equipment installation, and commissioning support.
• Act as the primary onsite point of accountability and liaison for the owner, project managers, program managers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead site safety programs, enforce OSHA and project-specific requirements, and manage incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintain construction schedules, track progress against milestones, and implement recovery plans for delays.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and QA/QC requirements, including testing, inspections, redlines, and as-built documentation.
• Drive punch-list completion, turnover documentation, training, final acceptance, and project closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in power distribution, construction, or project management.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Microsoft Project, and P6 Scheduling.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, SWPPP, permits, environmental controls, and waste handling.
• Ability to work daily full-time onsite in New Orleans, Willis, or Amarillo.

Nice to have

• PMP or Construction Management Professional certification.
