Senior Solutions Architect (AI)

Salary: $139,400.00–$230,000.00 annual base salary

What you will do

• Define and guide AI-first, cloud-native architectural patterns for a platform modernization effort.
• Design and document conceptual, logical, and solution architectures, including service decomposition, APIs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Evaluate event-driven, request/response, CQRS, and other architectural patterns, presenting trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
• Author Architecture Decision Records and provide hands-on guidance, design reviews, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
• Identify opportunities and risks, create architecture roadmaps, and align technical decisions with business priorities.
• Present architecture reviews and modernization progress to engineering teams and VP-level leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience; the preferred profile includes 8 years of architecture experience.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS preferred.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, API design, data modeling, distributed systems, and solution architecture patterns.
• Experience integrating AI/ML and LLM-based capabilities, including agentic patterns, RAG, prompt chaining, tool use, output validation, fallback design, and cost management.
• Strong communication, collaboration, agile delivery, transformational change, and insurance industry knowledge.
