Mechanical Design Engineer - Nuclear

What you will do

• Maintain and develop products for the Reuter-Stokes Nuclear product line, including improvements to existing designs and new product development.
• Develop and review detailed component and system designs against product specifications.
• Analyze, test, and verify designs for robustness and compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process.
• Coordinate project tasks with project managers, functional managers, quality, manufacturing, and technology teams.
• Support technical discussions with customers and contribute to design best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of design engineering experience; sensor design experience is preferred.
• Experience with a CAD package, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with new product design and product development processes; Stage-Gate experience is preferred.
• Ability to solve problems, decompose requirements, translate cross-functional inputs into design outputs, and write technical reports.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and product safety considerations.

Nice to have

• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP.
• Professional certifications held or in progress, including FE, EIT, or PE.
