What you will do

  • Lead the design, development, validation, and implementation of new generator set products, enhancements, and modifications.
  • Define technical requirements and balance performance, cost, reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Create detailed designs, engineering drawings, product specifications, bills of materials, and material requirements using CAD and engineering analysis tools.
  • Plan and execute product testing, validation, and risk assessment activities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, service, operations, and external partners to optimize designs and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and support cross-functional improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Experience with product design, development, and sustaining engineering in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling, machine design, and materials such as plastics, sheet metal, and cast components.
  • Experience with engineering analysis methods such as FEA, CFD, or similar simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
