What you will do
- Generate packing slips, shipping documents, export papers, master bills, and daily shipping schedules based on production load sheets.
- Process advance shipping notices through EDI or fax and manage UPS labels, transmissions, billing checks, and shipping adjustments.
- Maintain customer orders, service files, routing guides, packaging and shipping reference guides, barcodes, and required dunnage inventory.
- Investigate shipping errors, maintain customer shipment spreadsheets, track delivery scores, and meet customer delivery windows.
- Manage credit holds, packaging standards, and new launch requirements.
- Supervise dock workers and shipping assistants, conduct daily 5S audits, and approve and track vacation days for shipping personnel.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to manage shipping documentation, customer orders, carrier processes, packaging standards, and delivery schedules.
- Ability to supervise shipping personnel and coordinate daily dock operations.
