Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

What you will do

• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound loads with sales, production, carriers, drivers, and shipping and receiving personnel.
• Determine transportation modes, select carriers, negotiate freight rates, route orders, and dispatch deliveries according to customer receiving times.
• Coordinate loading, receiving appointments, storage of inbound products, and management of internal equipment and drivers.
• Ensure paperwork, driver logs, freight bills, reports, and database records are accurate and compliant with company procedures and DOT regulations.
• Resolve supplier and customer transportation issues, trace or expedite orders, and investigate shortages, losses, and damage claims.
• Control departmental expenses and develop solutions to transportation and receiving problems.

Requirements

• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience as a Production Manager or in an equivalent role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of UFP's organization, culture, and product lines is preferred.
• Ability to work at the Coatesville, Pennsylvania location.
