Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise employees responsible for receiving shipments, preparing items for shipping, and loading and unloading trucks.
• Manage inter-departmental transport of materials, dock traffic, and logistics supplier compliance.
• Oversee shipping and receiving documentation, data entry, product checks, and matching ASN and BOM records.
• Track shipping and receiving performance metrics and coordinate with stakeholders to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Implement strategies supporting safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost, and profitability objectives.
• Guide staffing, training, employee relations, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, inventory management, and material movement.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships and transactions involving raw materials or product components.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations in a manufacturing plant or facility.
• Frequent walking and standing are required; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. and travel may be required.
