Technician Engineer (Houston, TX)

Location: Onsite in Cleveland, Texas; regular overnight travel of at least 20% may be required across Division 5

What you will do

• Analyze engine, compressor, and mechanical equipment performance, maintenance, vibration data, and reliability.
• Perform portable emissions testing, greenhouse gas surveys, leak detection, and environmental issue reporting.
• Identify corrective actions and support local personnel in resolving plant equipment and operational problems.
• Conduct equipment failure analysis, document mechanical condition, and communicate findings to management.
• Provide technical assistance and training on plant equipment operations and maintenance procedures.
• Assist with startup and commissioning of new compressor station equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic equipment, high-pressure gas, processing equipment, engines, electric motors, and reciprocating and centrifugal compressors.
• Experience with engine and compressor performance analysis, vibration testing, predictive technologies, and portable emissions testing.
• Experience with data collection and route-based hardware and software such as Dynalco, Windrock, CSI/SKF, Ecom, or Testo analyzers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, basic mathematics, analytical and troubleshooting skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required; drug screening and background check required before employment.
