What you will do

• Support product development, supplier qualification, and customer failure analysis projects across the HVACR portfolio.
• Plan and execute laboratory testing on mechanical components and systems.
• Design and develop test fixtures and experimental setups.
• Analyze engineering test data and provide technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Investigate product performance and durability issues using mechanical engineering principles.
• Collaborate with engineers, lab technicians, and internal customers; prepare technical reports and present findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.
• Strong CAD experience using NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Working knowledge of Strength of Materials / Mechanics of Materials principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering test results and technical data.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical testing, product development, engineering laboratories, manufacturing, or design engineering.
• Experience with laboratory testing, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or experimental analysis.
• Exposure to fatigue, vibration, durability, failure analysis, or structural mechanics.
• Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, Minitab, or similar engineering analysis software.
• Experience performing calculations related to stress, strain, strength, or mechanical performance.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, technical report writing, or finite element analysis (FEA).
