Mechanical Technician I (HVACR)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with voluntary overtime.

What you will do

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions for commercial compressor performance and life testing.
• Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for laboratory tests.
• Operate performance and life test stands, data acquisition systems, and measuring equipment.
• Fabricate test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests and builds.
• Review test data against applicable standards, complete tests and builds, and communicate results to engineers.
• Maintain the laboratory and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.

Requirements

• Associate degree, two to three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Candidates requiring current or future work-authorization sponsorship, including those holding specified temporary visas, are not eligible.
