Technician Mechanical I (2nd Shift)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, United States; fully on-site on the second shift, Monday through Friday

What you will do

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions for variable-speed compressor testing.
• Set up and install compressors, electronics, variable-speed drives, and laboratory test equipment.
• Operate calorimeters, mass flow stands, data acquisition systems, and other measurement equipment.
• Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests.
• Review test data against applicable standards and complete required testing.
• Maintain the laboratory, communicate results to engineers, and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 2–3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree plus one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic systems.
