Test Engineer I (Environmental Testing)

Location: Huntsville Lab, Huntsville, Alabama, United States; U.S. Persons only due to ITAR-controlled information.

What you will do

• Conduct environmental qualification tests according to established and client-specific procedures.
• Perform vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, altitude, salt fog, and custom environmental exposures.
• Record test data, observations, and results in detailed reports and analyze findings.
• Troubleshoot testing equipment and data issues to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, laboratory procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with metallurgy, chemistry, machine shop, and quality control teams while managing projects and client deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in a testing laboratory environment.
• Coursework in Dynamics and strong mathematics and science skills.
• Hands-on, practical mindset with strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, laboratory ISO procedures, and process safety procedures.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status in the United States.
