Preventative Maintenance Trade Assistant (Reverse Vending Equipment): Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on reverse vending machines and field equipment across Western Victoria and Tasmania with an accent on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment testing, and inventory control. Focus on servicing and commissioning equipment, supporting Field Service Technicians, documenting repairs, and maintaining safe, reliable operations in the field.

Location: Boundary Rd, Truganina VIC 3029, Australia; daily travel to the Truganina warehouse and regular travel across Western Victoria and Tasmania are required.

What you will do

  • Strip, clean, rebuild, service, and maintain reverse vending machines and field equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, component replacement, equipment testing, tagging, upgrades, and commissioning.
  • Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical faults and support Field Service Technicians with repairs.
  • Complete service reports covering faults, repairs, testing, and parts replaced.
  • Manage inventory, consumables, and spare parts, including stocktakes and replenishment.
  • Travel extensively, provide customer service, respond to occasional after-hours callouts, and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Similar experience in a previous role.
  • Full driver's licence.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Successful completion of a driver history check, federal police check, and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.

  • Tag and test licence.
  • Forklift licence.
