Field Service Engineer (Food Processing Machinery)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize food processing machinery to meet customer performance expectations.
• Respond to field machine issues, identify root causes, resolve problems, and communicate plans and potential costs to customers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including pre-season and post-season servicing, and replace mechanical components such as shafts, bearings, belts, and motors.
• Collaborate with engineering, research and development, sales, and customer care teams on testing, refurbishments, refits, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Provide customer training, report field feedback, address complaints, and support product and service improvements.
• Promote and maintain a safety-first culture across customer sites and internal operations.

Requirements

• Industrial trade qualification in electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial manufacturing, or an equivalent degree or diploma.
• 3+ years of experience as a field service engineer or equivalent education.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment, with strong knowledge of electronics, electrical assembly, and wiring.
• Knowledge of PLCs and experience with PC building, repair, and diagnostic testing.
• Working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office, ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations, and strong practical problem-solving skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license, ability to obtain a valid passport, and willingness to travel extensively up to 70% of the time.
