TL;DR
Senior Director, Global Neuroscience Communications and Public Affairs (Neuroscience): Leading global communications and public affairs strategy for a neuroscience portfolio spanning diseases, products, pipeline assets, and scientific platforms with an accent on executive counsel, market shaping, stakeholder engagement, and reputational risk. Focus on integrating global, regional, and market strategies, managing communications for launches and major data readouts, and developing a high-performing global team.

Location: Hybrid, with a preferred location in Raritan, New Jersey; Titusville, New Jersey, or Spring House, Pennsylvania may also be considered. The role requires up to 25–30% domestic and international travel.

Base pay range: $178,000–$307,050 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead the global communications and public affairs strategy for the neuroscience portfolio.
  • Advise neuroscience leadership on external positioning, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Shape consistent global narratives across disease areas, products, pipeline assets, and scientific platforms.
  • Oversee communications for launches, major data readouts, lifecycle milestones, and growth brands.
  • Coordinate media, issues management, scientific congresses, campaigns, executive visibility, policy, and advocacy activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global communications team while aligning enterprise, regional, and market perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, or related external engagement roles.
  • Significant experience leading communications for complex, global pharmaceutical portfolios or therapeutic areas.
  • Deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical environment, including commercialization, access, policy, and reputational dynamics.
  • Proven issues and crisis management experience in a highly regulated environment, with strong strategic thinking, executive presence, and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading global teams and integrating enterprise, regional, and market perspectives into cohesive strategies.

  • Experience in neuroscience or adjacent specialty disease areas.
  • Experience partnering with Public Affairs, Market Access, and Government Affairs functions.
  • Global experience across multiple regions and markets.
