Major Case Specialist (Auto Liability)

Location: Diamond Bar, California, United States

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400. Eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

What you will do

• Oversee major auto claims from initiation through resolution while following company policies and industry regulations.
• Investigate complex claims, gather evidence, assess liability, and determine the extent of damages.
• Evaluate coverage, policy language, exclusions, documentation, reserves, and settlement options.
• Negotiate with claimants, legal representatives, and other parties to reach fair settlements.
• Apply litigation management strategies, including counsel selection and evaluation.
• Maintain claim records and prepare reports on claim status, trends, and outcomes for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least four years of bodily injury litigation claim handling experience or comparable claim litigation experience.
• Ten years of experience handling major auto claims, litigation, and complex negotiations.
• Extensive claims or legal experience with technical expertise in severe and complex claims.
• Thorough understanding of business line products, policy language, exclusions, and ISO forms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
