Market Conduct Examiner (Regulatory Insurance)

Location: Remote, any US location

Compensation: $56–$84 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive, targeted, and risk-focused market conduct examinations of major insurance companies.
• Review insurance operations, marketing, underwriting, rating, policyholder service, producer licensing, complaints, and claims handling for regulatory compliance.
• Analyze company documentation, data, reports, and records, including statistical samples.
• Draft organized examination work papers, reports, exhibits, schedules, and other deliverables for supervisory review.
• Interpret new, proposed, and revised insurance laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and assess their impact.
• Recommend and document actions that support compliance with insurance statutes and regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of insurance experience is required, including experience with a state or federal agency, insurance company, examination firm, or public accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Accounting, or Finance.
• Insurance industry experience is required.
• Completed or pursuing professional insurance designations such as AIE/CIE, MCM, AIRC, FLMI, CPCU, or CLU.
• Experience with TeamMate, ACL/Access, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong analytical, audit, examination, communication, and organizational skills.
• Project management experience, ability to work independently and with executives and senior managers, and flexibility to travel.
