Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor - Deployable (Aerospace): Supervising daily aircraft maintenance activities and inspections while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, and operational schedules, with an accent on deployed aviation operations and maintenance team leadership. Focus on training staff, resolving technical issues, maintaining accurate records, and supporting extended OCONUS deployments under DoD requirements.

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; requires extended OCONUS deployments on an approximate 60/60 rotation, including flexible shifts, holidays, nights, and weekends.

What you will do

  • Supervise and coordinate daily aircraft maintenance activities, workflows, and schedules.
  • Inspect maintenance work for compliance with safety standards, FAA regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and aircraft return-to-service processes.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff while assigning, directing, and evaluating work.
  • Monitor the proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Resolve maintenance issues with other departments and enforce safety protocols through regular audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of aviation experience; relevant experience may substitute for the degree, with 9 years required without a degree.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, procedures, and safe operating practices.
  • Ability to deploy internationally for extended periods, meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements, and pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Current and valid passport, ability to obtain an international travel visa, and an active Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform physical aircraft inspections, and work in loud environments with hazardous materials.

Nice to have

  • Previous supervisory, management, or lead experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) designation.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
