What you will do
- Conduct maintenance test flights and functional check flight operations for aircraft supporting the US Army Flight Test Directorate.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft, components, parts, products, raw materials, and shop work.
- Apply quality control and safety plans in accordance with Army directives, contract specifications, QMS procedures, and approved technical data.
- Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, testing, and technical evaluations to support maintenance problem resolution.
- Communicate deficiencies, track corrective actions, and maintain accurate inspection records, quality files, databases, and flight records.
- Coordinate with crew members, management, and staff while ensuring required services are completed satisfactorily.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of Army Aviation maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in quality control and 2 years related to developmental flight testing.
- Completion of Military Aircraft Repairer School for the H-60L or H-60M model.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Verifiable aircraft maintenance and quality control experience, including automated TAMMS-A and ACN records such as DA Forms 2408-15, 2408-16, 2408-16-1, 2408-17, and DA 2410.
- Thorough knowledge of Army rotary-wing and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accurate data entry are also required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics with technical specializations, or aviation quality.
- Additional experience related to developmental flight testing.
