Deployed A&P Technician

Location: BPC Site 1; rotational OCONUS deployments of 90 days on and 90 days off in austere and remote environments.

What you will do

• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, scheduled maintenance, and Phase maintenance events on Beechcraft King Air B200 and B300 aircraft.
• Maintain accurate aircraft records in accordance with FAA regulations, hirify.global maintenance procedures, and OEM guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair avionics and mission systems, including Garmin avionics, radar, EO/IR sensors, and mission-specific equipment.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other specialized test equipment to resolve complex electronic issues.
• Coordinate with pilots, crew chiefs, and mission operators to ensure aircraft and avionics systems meet operational requirements.
• Support deployed team operations, train maintenance personnel, and work independently in austere environments.

Requirements

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
• At least 3 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting King Air aircraft in a deployed environment.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation requirements.
• Valid US Passport required through deployment periods.
• Ability to travel with reasonable notice for assignments lasting up to three months.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces and on elevated platforms is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with missionized King Air 200/350 aircraft equipped with ISR systems, EO/IR sensors, and radar.
• Experience completing Phase Maintenance Inspections in deployed environments.
• Prior military or ISR aviation maintenance experience.
• FAA Inspection Authorization certification and familiarity with Garmin G1000, G600, and GTN 750 configurations.
• Experience with SATCOM, tactical data links, advanced communications systems, and avionics test equipment.
