Maintenance Crew Lead (Aviation): Performing and supervising aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and maintenance recordkeeping in compliance with FAA requirements with an accent on mechanical systems, airframe and powerplant work, and technician coordination. Focus on troubleshooting aircraft defects, verifying safe operating condition before flight, and leading scheduling, performance, and workflow activities for assigned technicians.

Location: Kinston, North Carolina, United States; full-time on-site role. Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.

What you will do

  • Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on aircraft in accordance with FAA requirements.
  • Inspect engines, wings, propellers, tails, hoses, and other aircraft components for defects, corrosion, and damage.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems, interpret manuals and technical drawings, install replacement parts, and repair sheet metal.
  • Test engines and operating systems and confirm aircraft are in proper working condition before flight.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts, and services.
  • Supervise assigned technicians, coordinate timecards and schedules, provide mentoring, and support performance reviews.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  • At least three years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience; extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of current FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
  • Proficient English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension required.
  • U.S. work authorization and two forms of federal identification required; background check and FAA-compliant pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing apply.

Nice to have

  • Five years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Corridor and business or corporate jets.
  • Scissor lift or forklift certification.
