What you will do

• Manage investigational product inventory and distribution activities.
• Process inpatient and outpatient investigational product orders for pharmacist verification and dispensing.
• Prepare, repackage, compound, and assemble medications and supplies according to protocols, worksheets, and departmental procedures.
• Prepare intravenous and chemotherapy products under established procedures and pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain clinical trial records and documentation required by protocols, sponsors, and regulatory agencies.
• Complete media fill and fingertip testing while maintaining clean work areas and safe aseptic handling practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Significant hospital pharmacy experience, including parenteral or unit-dose preparation, medication safety, drug interactions, and patient privacy regulations.
• Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certification in the assigned discipline is required.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, pharmacy documentation, records, software systems, and databases.
• Ability to work with pharmacists, physicians, study teams, monitors, sponsors, and other stakeholders in a structured healthcare environment.

Nice to have

• Apexus Certified Expert certification.
• Pharmacy Basic Life Support or CPR certification.
• Experience in health insurance, healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmacy call centers, or retail pharmacy.
