What you will do

• Provide technical support for research pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill medication orders and develop proficiency in advanced pharmaceutical preparations.
• Perform sterile compounding of hazardous drugs, including serial dilution and multi-ingredient mixing, in compliance with USP 797, USP 800, policies, and research protocols.
• Receive, barcode, transfer, destroy, store, and document investigational drugs in research pharmacy accountability systems.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, perform quality control activities, and manage sterile and non-sterile pharmacy areas.
• Support monitor visits, regulatory audits, cross-coverage, issue escalation, and training activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level pharmacy or related degree program.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least 1 year of compounding or outpatient/retail experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, use pharmacy and clinical research systems, apply aseptic technique, and compound sterile and non-sterile products.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
