Electrical Design Engineer

What you will do

• Own the accuracy, quality, and electrical build intent of schematic reviews, print reviews, EBOMs, and print releases.
• Lead reviews and complete initial electrical drawing packages for customer submittal.
• Apply NEC requirements and internal electrical standards across released drawings and bills of materials.
• Support Production by resolving design questions and issues during build and test phases.
• Manage multiple active projects and participate in technical handoffs from external engineering leads.
• Assist with EBOM and print releases and assess long-lead materials and major electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent field experience such as a Journeyman Electrician background.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, electrical systems, manufacturing support, or field-based electrical work.
• Strong electrical theory knowledge and the ability to read, interpret, and review detailed schematics and electrical prints.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and experience applying them during design review and release.
• Ability to manage several concurrent projects and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Project Management.
• Familiarity with EBOMs, Bluebeam or similar PDF annotation software, ERP systems such as Epicor, and Microsoft Office Suite.
