TL;DR
Senior Electrical Engineer (Built Asset Consultancy): Designing and surveying electrical building infrastructure across public, environmental, commercial, and education projects with an accent on independent design from RIBA Stage 0–4, technical advice, and site monitoring. Focus on producing electrical tender packages, assessing asset condition and remaining life, and supporting technical due diligence and contractor design development.
Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working. Travel is required depending on project locations, primarily across Southwest England and South Wales.

What you will do
- Undertake feasibility studies, electrical condition surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidation surveys, and PPM surveys.
- Design electrical services independently from RIBA Stage 0–4 and produce technical drawings and full electrical tender packages.
- Monitor electrical works on site and report on conformity and quality.
- Provide technical advice to clients, support contractor design development, and act as a technical advisor.
- Collaborate with internal project teams and help develop the regional M&E service offering and commercial strategies.
- Follow commercial, procurement, contractual, environmental, health, safety, security, and quality standards.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and a recognised M&E qualification.
- Chartered status or willingness to obtain MCIBSE or an equivalent qualification.
- Track record in a similar role or site engineering, including independent electrical design from RIBA Stage 0–4.
- Experience in asset surveying, condition and remaining-life assessment, and technical due diligence.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant software such as CAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and tablet-based tools.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across project locations.
