Process Safety Management Engineer

Location: On-site at the hirify.global plant in Brownwood, Texas, requiring at least four days per week on-site. Travel may include up to 5% domestic travel. Relocation may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Inspect, analyze, identify, and prioritize potential process safety and EHS hazards, including hazards beyond routine operations.
• Apply risk assessment tools and methodologies, develop assessment plans, interpret data, and recommend effective control solutions.
• Apply Process Safety Management regulations and maintain procedures, practices, systems, and compliance requirements.
• Develop safety and PSM training content, deliver training, and coach non-EHS professionals on hazard recognition.
• Lead or support PSM-related incident investigations, audits, self-assessments, and the plant EHS Management Plan.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and support site-wide EHS programs and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
• At least three years of safety, process safety, and/or engineering field experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies and to drive a company vehicle, subject to motor vehicle history review.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in EHS or Engineering.
• Five years of safety, process safety, and/or engineering field experience.
