Senior Corporate Process Safety Engineer

Location: Corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas, United States; office-based with travel up to 50% across the Americas, including Canada, Mexico, and South America.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for Process Hazard Analyses, Layers of Protection Analysis, and Safety Integrity Level assessments.
• Lead and participate in process safety incident investigations, audits, field assessments, and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver training on process safety methodologies and best practices.
• Support and continuously improve corporate process safety procedures, standards, and performance metrics.
• Mentor team members and facilitate cross-functional process safety networks.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and EHS teams to identify and mitigate process safety risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in chemical engineering, process engineering, process or equipment design, manufacturing operations, or process safety.
• Demonstrated experience leading or facilitating PHA, LOPA, and SIL Target Assessment studies.
• Unrestricted right to work for hirify.global in the United States is required.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, leadership, mentoring, organizational, and stakeholder-influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Expertise in SIL design, pressure relief sizing, dispersion modeling, fire risk assessment, human factors assessment, facility siting, or quantitative risk assessment.
• Experience with Apollo, HFACS, or similar incident investigation methodologies.
• Proficiency with process engineering software for fluid flow and physical property modeling.
• Experience supporting corporate or multi-site process safety programs.
• Participation in industry forums, benchmarking groups, or professional engineering associations.
