Site Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Orrville, Ohio, United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Implement and manage site environmental, health, and safety programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Collect, calculate, interpret, and submit environmental and safety data, including emissions, waste, chemical, radiation, biological, and noise data.
• Identify operational hazards, assess risks, develop mitigation solutions, and drive corrective actions.
• Create, maintain, audit, and improve EHS procedures, management systems, records, and compliance programs.
• Develop and deliver regulatory compliance training and provide guidance to employees, supervisors, and process owners.
• Support emergency response activities, lead investigations, interface with regulatory agencies, and coordinate with site and corporate EHS leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, EHS data interpretation, gap assessments, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing shop floor environment and manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• EHS certifications such as CHMM, CSP, or ASP.
