What you will do

• Pitch, research, and produce daily news stories for television, connected TV apps, streaming platforms, and OzarksFirst.com.
• Develop enterprise story ideas, cultivate local sources, and break local news.
• Write conversational broadcast copy and adapt stories for digital and social media platforms.
• Shoot, write, and edit packages and reports independently under tight deadlines.
• Deliver clear, confident, unscripted live reports during breaking news and scheduled newscasts.

Requirements

• Previous on-camera reporting or multimedia journalist experience at a college or commercial news station is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Superior writing skills focused on clear, conversational broadcast copy.
• Proficiency with professional video cameras, non-linear editing software, and digital content management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for daily field travel.
