Test Technician II (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite testing work with possible travel.

What you will do

• Execute complex testing scenarios on equipment and perform fault isolation and troubleshooting.
• Analyze, document, and report test results, anomalies, and deviations.
• Improve existing test procedures and assist with developing new testing protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory test, measurement, and other testing equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and participate in cross-functional discussions about test outcomes.
• Mentor junior technicians and support product quality improvements.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field and at least one year of technician or related experience; three years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, test concepts, and testing techniques.
• General experience with laboratory test, calibration, and measurement equipment.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, use hand and finger dexterity for troubleshooting, and work in potentially hazardous or loud environments.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree focused on electronics.
• Experience with Linux and Red Hat.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 test standards.
• Manufacturing, aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience.
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
