TL;DR
Test Technician II (High Voltage Electronics): Testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing high-voltage power supplies and electronic sub-assemblies with an accent on component-level diagnostics, safety, and performance validation. Location: Onsite in Hauppauge, New York, United States

Salary: $25.50–$34.00 per hour, plus benefits.

A family-owned manufacturer of high-voltage power solutions for medical device, semiconductor, scientific analytics, and industrial systems manufacturers, with design and manufacturing sites across North America, Europe, and Asia.

What you will do

  • Test and calibrate high-voltage power supplies to verify performance and safety against customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage power supplies and electronic sub-assemblies down to component level.
  • Read schematics, understand electronic circuitry, and perform testing using established methods and tools.
  • Work from written acceptance test procedures and record functional data throughout testing phases.
  • Analyze test results for validity and communicate directly with Production Management and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Support a culture of continual improvement while working independently.

Requirements

  • Electronics certification with at least three years of electronics test experience; an associate degree with two years of experience; a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with one year of experience; equivalent military or vocational training; or at least four years of practical electronics test experience.
  • At least one to two years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
  • Understanding of electronic theory and electrical circuitry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to component level and read schematics and circuits.
  • Soldering skills and ability to work from written test procedures.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
