TL;DR
Test Technician (Aerospace): Performing electrical and mechanical testing of non-energetic aerospace products with an accent on test setup, instrumentation, calibration, and data reporting. Focus on executing written test procedures and MIL-STD requirements, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting customer-driven test data generation.

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; onsite, first shift

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

  • Set up, evaluate, and perform electrical tests, mechanical loading, and proofing for non-energetic product lines.
  • Execute testing according to written procedures, MIL-STD requirements, and industry specifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and troubleshoot or repair equipment when needed.
  • Generate, report, and plot test data to support customer requirements.
  • Work independently and interface with personnel across multiple organizational levels.
  • Perform occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. and overtime when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; an associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and execute test requirements from written specifications.
  • Experience in a test laboratory environment and familiarity with pressure transducers, multimeters, milliohmmeters, hipot testers, pulse generators, voltage and current supplies, oscilloscopes, temperature chambers, or Instron tensile testers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.

  • Instron tensile tester programming with Bluehill Universal Software.
  • Watlow F4 and F4T programming.
