Supervisor of ES and Transport

Location: Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Pay range: $24.65–$30.82 per hour.

What you will do

• Supervise daily operations, staff performance, and workflow across Environmental Services and Hospitality Services.
• Prepare master work schedules, coordinate time off, and manage daily staffing adjustments.
• Conduct quality-control reviews and support compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Interview, select, onboard, train, and competency-test new employees.
• Complete performance evaluations, provide mentoring and counseling, and recommend personnel actions.
• Oversee supplies, usage data, inventory, equipment repairs, policies, and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and understand procedures and directions in English.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, stay organized, and work effectively in a changing environment.
• Leadership, initiative, flexibility, and responsibility.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, push loaded carts, and lift 30–60 pounds, with exposure to hospital waste and other occupational hazards.
