What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the quality control team while setting objectives and evaluating performance.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures, policies, testing, and inspection processes.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements; prepare documentation for audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards into manufacturing.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, training, budgeting, and laboratory resource optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Quality Control or a related field, including 2–3 years of management experience leading teams or projects.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work at the San Diego, California location and perform occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
