Payables Accountant (AI)

Location: Remote while residing in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah

Salary: $20.49–$30.82 per hour expected hiring range; full hourly range of $19.40–$34.90; 5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Review and process invoices, statements, voucher requests, and other payment documentation.
• Audit, reconcile, record, stop, replace, void, and reissue payments as needed.
• Set up and maintain provider EFT arrangements, including bank relationship changes.
• Research and respond to payment inquiries and payables subledger discrepancies.
• Complete daily banking activities, including positive pay research and decisions.
• Maintain payment records, check controls, audit documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, plus 2+ years of general accounting, accounts payable, or disbursement accounting experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable processes and accurate detailed data processing.
• Intermediate Excel, Word, email, and calendaring software skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and customer service skills.
• Must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, or outside normal business hours during heavy workloads.

• Experience with AI tools and technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
