Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Irvine, California, USA

Compensation: USD 35–40 per hour

What you will do

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, approval, and payment.
• Provide leadership and guidance to AP Specialists and oversee the AP inbox.
• Coordinate weekly payment runs and biweekly employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare invoice accrual reports and support month-end close activities.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Support 1099 filings, vendor W-9 documentation, annual audits, and ad hoc financial projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP and NetSuite.
• Experience with multi-company entities and intercompany transactions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ramp or Coupa.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
