Platform Operations Specialist (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid work with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week.

Salary: $102,130–$125,960 per year in New York.

What you will do

• Design, launch, and scale reconciliation and control infrastructure across products and entities.
• Lead audit remediation workstreams with external auditors and Accounting and Controls partners.
• Own cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Finance from problem definition through resolution.
• Build systems and tooling for scalable reconciliation and loss detection, tracing recurring issues to their root causes.
• Create reusable AI workflows, templates, and standards while mentoring analysts and developing durable documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in financial services, banking, fintech, payments, or accounting operations, preferably in cash management or reconciliation.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects independently and influencing Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Finance partners.
• Strong understanding of payment systems and money movement, including ACH/NACHA, card networks, BAI2, or MT940.
• Experience designing or remediating auditable controls and reconciliation processes, with exposure to MTL or SOX-style requirements.
• Strong SQL, data analysis, written communication, verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling reconciliation or operational processes to new products, entities, or geographies.
• Demonstrated experience building durable, reusable AI automations and workflows.
