Payment Operations Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States

Salary: $27.88–$33.65 per hour, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

hirify.global operates a fintech platform and is bringing trader payout processing in-house as automation matures.

What you will do

• Prepare and process daily ACH, Wise, and wire payout batches according to runbooks and cutoff times.
• Process returns, retries, and payout exceptions accurately and on schedule.
• Work as a maker only, sending every batch through checker review before validation or release.
• Maintain complete records for independent reconciliation by Accounting and immediately flag anomalies or control gaps.
• Execute cutover activities as payout work transitions from the offshore team to the in-house operation.
• Adopt TRM and batch-automation workflows and recommend improvements to frontline runbooks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of operations experience in payments, banking, or fintech.
• High attention to detail and strong process discipline.
• Comfort working to firm daily cutoffs.
• Clear written records and communication.
• Ability to work from Chicago, IL.

Nice to have

• Experience with ACH or wire processing.
• Familiarity with Wise or Aeropay.
• Experience in audit-controlled environments.
