Sr. Brokerage Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: NYC office, hybrid

Compensation: $160,000–$180,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Build and own the trading desk operation end to end, including the trade lifecycle, execution quality, and best execution review.
• Serve as the licensed principal of record for trading activity, with sign-off authority on trades, account actions, and exceptions requiring principal review.
• Design and operate the best execution program and manage execution venues, including Fidelity.
• Own CAT/CAIS and Rule 605/606 regulatory trade reporting, FINRA examination readiness, WSP maintenance, and audit-trail infrastructure.
• Define account and cashiering operations, including money movement and wire approvals, AML alert escalation, and account restrictions.
• Drive AI and automation across the trading desk and back office while partnering with Legal, Compliance, the CCO, vendors, and company leadership.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of broker-dealer operations experience, including building a brokerage or trading operations function from scratch.
• Series 7, Series 64, and Series 24 licenses required.
• Deep knowledge of the trade lifecycle, best execution, and CAT/CAIS and Rule 605/606 regulatory reporting.
• Experience preparing for or supporting FINRA or SEC examinations, maintaining supervisory documentation, and building document-versioning or audit-trail infrastructure.
• Ability to operate independently as a senior peer to Legal, Compliance, and company leadership in an ambiguous, high-growth environment.
• Track record of automating manual operations and applying an AI-first builder mindset.

Nice to have

• Additional licenses such as Series 4, 53, 54, 9/10, or 99.
• Experience owning a clearing-firm relationship, including Fidelity NFS.
• Background in a high-growth fintech or startup environment.
